Never too late

Posted by: Lillian   in Parenting, Personal Finance

Money management is one of the most glaring omission in current educational system. Parents may not be able to do anything about it, but getting access to early financial education is absolutely our own choice.

I saw so many well-educated professionals, like doctors, business owners, corporate executives who messed up their personal finances due to the lack of financial intelligence.  People can go broke even if they earn more than 10,000 per month. Just as what Jim Rohn said:” Rich or poor — the difference is not so much in how much you make as it is in how you use what you make”. And that’s the reason why I wrote the book “7 Habits for Money Smart Kids“, a step-by-step book helping parents to teach their kids about money in early age.

Getting rich is a learnable skill, financial independence is achievable.  That’s exactly what I’m doing and what I’m teaching my children. In my opinion, if one haven’t achieved financial freedom by the time he or she is about to retire, that means he/she is the victim of lack of financial education with a wrong plan. The good news is: it is never too late to start learning how to be money smart.  The best time to do so is always “Now”!
